Dear Fans,
the competitions in Östersund mark the start of this year’s world cup season. Until the New Year they are followed by the World Cups of Hochfilzen and Annecy-Le Grand Bornand, which enable us to do an assessment of the current situation and provide an indication for the outcome of overall World Cup. I’m very happy that the season begins and I wish you great and exciting competitions!

Martin Fourcard tooks opening competition
Martin Fourcard (France) took the opening competition of the first Biathlon World Cup in Östersund in dominating style. Michal Slesingr (Czech Republic) finished second with 1:54.3 behind. Third placed was Simon Schempp (Germany) with a gap to Slesingr of 0.2 seconds. ...more >

World Cup team appointed by Norwegian Federation
Because of poor snow conditions, the Norwegian federation appointed the first four athletes for the first World Cups. According to the federation, there won’t be the possibility to carry out competitions. ...more >

Norwegian Championships
Last weekend Rune Bratsveen won both disciplines of the Norwegian Championships. In Sprint on Saturday he had an error-free performance and finished first in front of Ole Einar Bjoerndalen (two errors).
